June In June I saw a charming group Of roses all begin to droop. I pepped them up With chicken soup! Sprinkle once, sprinkle twice, Sprinkle chicken soup with rice.
The Swimming Race The washcloth and the soap Had a swimming race. The soap blew some bubbles In the washcloth's face. The washcloth could not see With soapsuds in its eyes. It swam around in circles Crying frothy cries. But then the slippery soap Grew soft and came undone. It sank down to the bottom And so the washcloth won! (By Joy Cowley)
