Miss Rosbach Happily Returns to Third Grade
for Yet Another ROCKIN' Year!

This is my third year teaching third grade at Stillwater Elementary. I am thrilled to be teaching third grade. In fact, of all the grades I could be teaching, I think that third grade is the best! Third grade students bring with them inquisitive minds and a zest for learning that makes my job even more fun. Teaching is my second career, following a glamorous career in advertising working as a designer. And when I say glamorous, I am referring to the extremely long hours spent staring at a computer screen working under stressful conditions. Okay, okay, looking back, it wasn't all that glamorous...hence the career change.

Many of you have asked why I wanted to switch careers. The short version is that I wanted to make a positive difference with my life. I didn't feel that my advertising career was allowing me to do that. At the end of the day, teaching makes my heart happy, and advertising didn't.

Teaching, is a career that runs in my family. My mom is currently a third grade teacher in Kittitas, and her mom was a teacher before that. I love working with children. My favorite part of the day is when I see a student have an "Ah-ha Moment" when he or she is learning something new. Personally, I am very passionate about reading and writing and hope to inspire students to feel the same way. I read aloud to students everyday, and expose them to a variety of books in hopes of sparking an interest in new stories. I love to introduce math games and tricks for figuring out mental math problems. I am also very interesting in social studies and we do a lot of work learning about our communities, and other ones as well. Students will also develop a love and enjoyment of poetry in this class. Having a background in design, I like to throw in a variety of art projects too!

I love to hear from parents so feel free to email to call or at any time!
