Dear Parents,

In order to help with traffic congestion, we have designed an additional drop-off/pick-up area in our parking lot. We ask you to follow these guidelines when dropping off and picking up your children. If everyone follows the guidelines, it will make our parking lot safer and more efficient.

Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade

These students should be dropped off and picked up in the drop off area on the west end of the parking lot (the old drop-off area). Parents are asked to not leave their vehicles when in the drop off area. If there is a need to come into the school, parents are asked to park their vehicles and walk their child to the sidewalk area.

Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade

These students should be dropped off and picked up in the east drop-off area. This is a new drop-off and is located near the center of the building. Parents should enter the parking lot and drive straight to the new drop-off rather than turning into the old drop off area. Again we ask that no-one leaves their car unattended.

Parents with children who should be dropped off in both areas are welcome to use the old drop off area for all their children.

We will obviously be revising these policies as we see how they are working. Please remember to drive slowly and safely. It is imperative that no child is asked to walk across the parking lot unattended. The reason for these parking lot changes is to make it as safe as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Amy Wright
